  1. Login to beastie1.conspec-group.com

  2. jlogin to ldap jail

  3. ldapvi to edit the ldap entries

  4. Copy an existing account in the ldap and paste it to the last entry in the ldap.

  5. Change all the details (uid,password,givenName,cn,sn,etc) and then save it (:wq).

    Make sure to put an "add: " in front of the dn before saving the new entry.

  6. ldapvi again to add new user to various groups

  7. Look for the relevant groups and add the new user to them

  8. Save it by typing :wq
